Today, Will is repurposing it as a unique holiday attraction alongside a renovated 1970s control tower and three restored RAF bunkers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He needed a compact and reliable heating system for the small internal space. It also had to fit within the aircraft structure and run efficiently between guest stays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our Solution<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through our subsidiary <a href=\"https:\/\/www.heatmat.co.uk\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/www.heatmat.co.uk\/\">Heatmat<\/a>, Heatcom Group specified a 150 W Combymat electric heating system. The system suited the tight, curved interior of the helicopter body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The system included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>3.0 m\u00b2 of 150 W Combymat, delivering a total output of 450 W<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>6 mm foam insulation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>6 mm plywood sub-base<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Electrical conductive tape for secure fitting<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A WiFi-enabled NGTouch thermostat for remote control<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The installer fitted the heating mats over foam insulation to reduce heat loss. Laminate flooring was planned as the final finish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The WiFi thermostat allows Will to adjust temperatures remotely based on guest arrival times. This is a key advantage for glamping operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">7Core Electrical Wholesale in Skegness supplied the materials. Homestead Property Lets Ltd installed the system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Result<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The helicopter pod now has a warm and comfortable interior. The space highlights the original cockpit controls and includes a sofa-bed, mini fridge and TV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Heatmat\u2019s system provides:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>reliable warmth in a small and highly unconventional space<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>low running costs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>remote management via NGTouch WiFi<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>suitability for holiday accommodation cycles<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Heatcom Group, through Heatmat, has supplied underfloor heating for many unique glamping-style structures.
