Hilltop Leaf requested a quotation for a comprehensive gutter heating solution to protect their aluminium alloy gutter system from ice and snow build-up. With 28 gutter runs of 105m each, the aim was to prevent blockages, icicle formation, and potential roof or drainage damage that could disrupt site operations during winter.

Proposed Solution

Heatcom UK prepared a quotation for a fully automated gutter heating system designed to provide continuous frost protection.

Specification highlights:

• 2,144 m of 7mm UV-stable heating cables for durability
• Three runs of heating cable per gutter to ensure full coverage
• Specialised fixing brackets and roof adhesive for secure installation
• Automatic control equipment, including:
  • External air temperature sensors
  • Gutter moisture detection sensors
  • 11kW Snow Stat controller with moisture input
• Options for standard or premium thermostat packages depending on operational needs

The Expected Result
